Men’s Ministries

Stratos is the Greek word meaning “encamped army.” If there ever was a need for an encamped army of soldiers for the cause of Jesus Christ, it’s now. The Christian men of Morning Star are an encamped army, ready to lead their families, set the pace in the workforce, and impact our society and communities for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Men regularly meet to encourage, challenge, and pray for one another. Breakfasts, discipleship groups, rafting and fishing trips, retreats, and conferences are all part of Stratos, our men’s ministry.

Men’s Breakfasts

Quarterly, we enjoy an awesome home-cooked meal together, on Saturday mornings at 9 am. There is always a great message, and this is a wonderful way for our men to come together to fellowship and encourage one another. We bring in special guest speakers, keep everyone informed of upcoming men’s events, and even head down to Albany Rifle & Pistol Club once a year after breakfast for their annual machine gun shoot!

Men’s Fraternity Bible Studies

Currently, we meet every Thursday morning, at 5:45 am (yes, am) here at Morning Star to encourage one another and study God’s Word together. There’s always room for men to jump right into the study, so don’t hesitate to come out and see what God is doing early in the morning with the men of Morning Star! Coffee and breakfast pastries are provided, and it’s really a great way to begin your day.
