Retreats
Belonging Prayer Tryst
Join us on Saturday, April 17 at the Macleay Retreat Center with our special guest speaker Margaret Poole
Learn to listen. Learn to respond. Learn to rest in His love.
A tryst is a meeting of lovers. The premise of “Belonging” is intimacy with God. These prayer trysts provide opportunity to learn how to spend time with God simply by doing it. If you long to worship the Lord, meditate on His Word, and hear from Him, then come. There are brief times of instruction, unhurried times of worship, and a quiet time to talk with and listen to the One Who know you best and loves you most. Prayer trysts are scheduled several times a year.
Women’s Annual Retreat
One of our favorite events is our annual Women’s Retreat. The many women who attend each year find it to be life changing! The purpose of this weekend event is two-fold. Our first goal is to offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity for women to grow in their relationships with the Lord Jesus Christ and one another. Our second goal is to make the event incredibly fun—with lots of laughter and delightful surprises. During free time, women may enjoy walks, relax, indulge in great snacks, go shopping, or just see the sights and appreciate the area.
Women’s Raft Trip
Our women’s raft trip is an annual end-of-summer event designed for fun. Enjoy great fellowship as we spend one night together and take off the next morning for a day of rafting down the beautiful Deschutes River.
Love In Action
Love in Action provides “911” assistance to those in need. This may be fixing and delivering a meal following the birth of a baby, during times of illness, or after a death in the family. It may be caring for a child or helping with housecleaning or yard work, home or car repair, or providing transportation to a doctor’s appointment. This is usually done on a one-time, short-notice basis.
Opportunities to Serve
We would love to have you join us in loving God by serving members of His body, people in our community, and those beyond our borders. Call the church offices for a complete list of needs, or visit morningstarchurch.com.
